Benefits

  • Compensation depending on the income of the business. From 30 euros / day up to 120 euros / day.
  • Supplementary cover for reimbursement of up to 90% of net salary as declared to the CASS.
  • In the case of maternity leave, monthly compensation is 600 euros for a period of up to 4 months.
  • In the event of death or total permanent disability, compensation is equal to 1,000 times the daily compensation contracted (e.g. 60 euros x 1,000 = 60,000 euros).
  • Inability to work as the result of a pre-existing illness or because of lumbalgia, muscle pain or hernia is not covered by this policy. Neither is inability to work caused by problems of a nervous nature, such as depression or anxiety.

In the event of a claim

When sick leave is taken, a certificate issued by a registered doctor in Andorra must be submitted to Crèdit Assegurances Vida within 30 days, declaring that the insured is totally and temporarily unfit for work. It must also:

  • Specify the accident or illness and its causes, and say whether its treatment prevents the patient from working.
  • Describe the treatment.
  • Specify the date on which the patient became unable to work.
  • Give an estimate of the duration of sick leave.
If sick leave continues for more than thirty days, the insured must send the insurer a medical certificate to this effect at intervals not exceeding thirty days.
